Shadow Unit
Privacy Policy
Effective 19 October 2026
This policy covers the Shadow Unit game for Android (package
com.shineshiao.shadowUnit), the browser demo at
shadowunit.shineshiao.com/play
and this website. Shadow Unit is made by an independent developer
("we"). We don't ask for your name, email or any account to play.
What stays on your device
Your progress, stars, settings, chapter timers and Premium status
are saved on your device (or, for the demo, in your browser's
storage). We don't receive them. Uninstalling the app or clearing
the site's data deletes them.
What is collected, and by whom
We use services from Google to run the game. They collect the
following, which we see only as totals and reports, never tied to
your name:
- Google Analytics for Firebase (Android app):
gameplay events such as a mission started, completed or failed,
a chapter unlocked or an ad watched; an app instance ID; device
and app information (model, OS version, language, country);
and the device's advertising ID. The browser demo collects no
analytics and sets no cookies.
- Firebase Crashlytics (Android app): crash
reports with a stack trace, device model, OS version and an
installation ID, so we can fix bugs.
- Firebase Remote Config (app and demo): the
game downloads settings such as how many stars open a chapter.
This sends an installation ID.
- Google AdMob (Android app, unless you buy
Premium): shows ads and may use the advertising ID, IP address
and device information to show, measure and, with your consent,
personalise ads. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland we ask for
your consent first using Google's consent form; you can change
your answer any time with Privacy options on the
game's start screen.
- Google Play Billing (Android app): Google
handles the Premium payment. We receive only a purchase token to
confirm Premium, never your payment details.
- Network time (Android app): the game asks
time.google.com for the current time so chapter
timers can't be skipped by changing the device clock. Like any
network request, this reveals your IP address to Google.

Notifications
If you allow them, "chapter ready" reminders are scheduled on your
device. Nothing is sent to us to deliver them.
Children
Shadow Unit is meant for players aged 13 and over and is not
directed at children. We don't knowingly collect data from
children under 13. If you believe a child has used the game and
want data removed, contact us.
Your choices
- Reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalised ads in
your Android settings (Google › Ads, or Privacy › Ads).
- Change your ad consent with Privacy options in the
game, where it is offered.
- Buy Premium to remove all ads.
- Delete your data on the device by uninstalling the app or
clearing the site's data in your browser.
- Ask us about, or to delete, analytics or crash data linked to
your installation: email us below. Analytics data is kept for
up to 14 months; crash reports for up to 90 days.
Internal test site
A separate test build at shadow-unit-internal.web.app
is only for invited testers. It uses Google sign-in, and checks
the tester's email address against our list of invited testers.
It also sends the same Google Analytics data as the Android app.
The public demo and the Android app never sign anyone in.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and its effective
date.

Chính sách này áp dụng cho trò chơi Shadow Unit trên Android
(gói com.shineshiao.shadowUnit), bản chơi thử trên
trình duyệt tại

và trang web này. Shadow Unit do một nhà phát triển độc lập
("chúng tôi") làm. Chúng tôi không hỏi tên, email hay yêu cầu tài
khoản để chơi.
Dữ liệu chỉ nằm trên thiết bị của bạn
Tiến độ, số sao, cài đặt, đồng hồ mở chương và trạng thái
Premium được lưu trên thiết bị của bạn (với bản chơi thử: trong bộ
nhớ của trình duyệt). Chúng tôi không nhận được các dữ liệu này.
Gỡ ứng dụng hoặc xoá dữ liệu trang web sẽ xoá chúng.
Dữ liệu được thu thập và bởi ai
Chúng tôi dùng các dịch vụ của Google để vận hành trò chơi. Các
dịch vụ này thu thập những dữ liệu dưới đây; chúng tôi chỉ xem
được số liệu tổng hợp và báo cáo, không bao giờ gắn với tên của
bạn:
- Google Analytics for Firebase (ứng dụng
Android): sự kiện trong game như bắt đầu, hoàn thành hay
thất bại một nhiệm vụ, mở khoá một chương, xem quảng cáo; mã
cài đặt ứng dụng; thông tin thiết bị và ứng dụng (đời máy, phiên
bản hệ điều hành, ngôn ngữ, quốc gia); và mã quảng cáo của thiết
bị. Bản chơi thử trên trình duyệt không thu thập dữ liệu phân tích
và không đặt cookie.
- Firebase Crashlytics (ứng dụng Android): báo
cáo lỗi gồm vết ngăn xếp, đời máy, phiên bản hệ điều hành và mã
cài đặt, để chúng tôi sửa lỗi.
- Firebase Remote Config (ứng dụng và bản chơi
thử): trò chơi tải các thiết lập như số sao cần để mở chương.
Việc này gửi đi một mã cài đặt.
- Google AdMob (ứng dụng Android, trừ khi bạn
mua Premium): hiển thị quảng cáo và có thể dùng mã quảng cáo,
địa chỉ IP và thông tin thiết bị để hiển thị, đo lường và — khi
bạn đồng ý — cá nhân hoá quảng cáo. Ở EEA, Vương quốc Anh và
Thuỵ Sĩ, chúng tôi hỏi sự đồng ý của bạn trước bằng biểu mẫu của
Google; bạn có thể đổi lựa chọn bất cứ lúc nào qua nút
Tùy chọn quyền riêng tư ở màn hình bắt đầu.
- Google Play Billing (ứng dụng Android):
Google xử lý thanh toán Premium. Chúng tôi chỉ nhận mã giao dịch
để xác nhận Premium, không bao giờ nhận thông tin thanh toán
của bạn.
- Giờ mạng (ứng dụng Android): trò chơi hỏi
time.google.com giờ hiện tại để không thể bỏ qua
đồng hồ mở chương bằng cách đổi giờ máy. Như mọi yêu cầu mạng,
việc này cho Google thấy địa chỉ IP của bạn.

Thông báo
Nếu bạn cho phép, lời nhắc "chương đã mở" được hẹn giờ ngay trên
thiết bị. Không có gì được gửi tới chúng tôi để gửi các thông báo
này.
Trẻ em
Shadow Unit dành cho người chơi từ 13 tuổi trở lên và không nhắm
tới trẻ em. Chúng tôi không cố ý thu thập dữ liệu của trẻ dưới 13
tuổi. Nếu bạn cho rằng một em nhỏ đã chơi và muốn xoá dữ liệu, hãy
liên hệ chúng tôi.
Lựa chọn của bạn

đặt Android (Google › Quảng cáo, hoặc Quyền riêng tư › Quảng
cáo).
- Đổi lựa chọn đồng ý quảng cáo bằng nút Tùy chọn quyền riêng
tư trong game, ở nơi có nút này.
- Mua Premium để bỏ toàn bộ quảng cáo.
- Xoá dữ liệu trên thiết bị bằng cách gỡ ứng dụng hoặc xoá dữ
liệu trang web trong trình duyệt.
- Hỏi về, hoặc yêu cầu xoá, dữ liệu phân tích hay báo cáo lỗi
gắn với bản cài đặt của bạn: gửi email theo địa chỉ bên dưới.
Dữ liệu phân tích được giữ tối đa 14 tháng; báo cáo lỗi tối đa
90 ngày.
Trang thử nghiệm nội bộ
Một bản thử nghiệm riêng tại
shadow-unit-internal.web.app chỉ dành cho người thử
được mời. Bản này dùng đăng nhập Google và đối chiếu email của
người thử với danh sách đã mời, và gửi dữ liệu Google Analytics như
ứng dụng Android. Bản chơi thử công khai và ứng dụng
Android không bao giờ yêu cầu đăng nhập.
Thay đổi
Khi chính sách này thay đổi, chúng tôi sẽ cập nhật trang này và
ngày có hiệu lực.
